Need / Situation Assessment

Usually, a needs assessment is undertaken to determine to what extent a training or facility renovation or a particular equipment is needed so that it can be implemented in a cost-effective way. A training need assessment is undertaken before a training program is designed for the health workforce engaged in the project area.

RTM International, in association with Population Council and icddr,b, implemented the Demand-based Reproductive Health Commodity Project (DBRHCP), an operation research project of the National Institute of Population Research and Training (NIPORT), between 2005 and 2009. RTM undertook the Training Needs Assessment for conducting 32 training courses for the service provider on Family Planning, syndromic management of RTI/STI and BCC. Similarly, a BCC need assessment was conducted and a set of BCC interventions was planned for the project area.

RTM International has experience professionals having thorough knowledge on assessment and can turn out a need assessment report relating to training, BCC or facility improvement.
