Research, Training and Management (RTM) International was established as an independent NGO in 1994 with the name ’JSI Research and Training Institute, Bangladesh’ (JSI Bangladesh) and as an affiliate of John Snow Incorporated, a leading public health organization incorporated in the United States. The activities of JSI Bangladesh were limited to the field of primary and reproductive health. With the broadening of the sphere of its activities, the organization was re-named as RTM International and its expanded range of activities now include research, training, and program management activities in health and population, education, environment, agriculture, finance and ICT sectors. It also conducts evaluations, researches and capacity building and promotes private sector.

RTM International works to promote and protect the health, education, environment and human rights and choices of the people, particularly those from the poorer communities. It provides high quality technical and information support for the design, implementation and evaluation of program activities and ensures development of local capacity to undertake and continue such work.

The web-site of RTM International gives an outline of the activities of the organization.

The assigning of technical assistance projects by the government, development partners, academic institutions and international NGOs is a clear demonstration of their trust on the ability of RTM International to deliver services of high quality. We are thankful to all of them for their unstinted support and cooperation.

The professionals of RTM International have always worked with sincerity and dedication in all stages of project preparation and implementation. We hope that with the support and cooperation of all concerned RTM International will continue to make improvements in sexual and reproductive health, education, gender equity, environment and human rights of the people of Bangladesh.
