Description of the Project:

RTM International is uniquely positioned to work with the Rohingya population, as it has started working with these population since 2007. RTMI has been working with IOM in Camps 17, 19 and Camp 20 since January 2018 establishing one PHC in camp 19 and two HPs in Camps 17 and 20. It was providing lifesaving primary health care services among the FDMNs. The PHC in Camp 19 (at present); managed by RTMI is continuing to function smoothly preventing the COVID 19 Pandemic and it is providing quality services in meeting the needs of the FDMN population and the objectives of providing equitable access focusing on SRH and improving their health seeking behavior which is obvious from significantly higher number of clients per day. The facility is well equipped, and staffs are trained in family planning, reproductive health, counseling, infection prevention, maternal and child health issues including integrated management of childhood illness, basic mental health and psychosocial counseling and referrals and they have already sufficient experience. Primary objective of the project is to reduce morbidity and excess mortality from common diseases through provision of PHC services. RTMI is providing quality health services among community people of about 24,440 FDMN populations. For achieving the project objectives and outcomes, RTM International following strategic approaches, maintaining collaboration with GOB (DGHS, DGFP) and other concerned stakeholders UNHCR, UNICEF, UNFPA, IOM and others for smooth implementation of the project.
